5563. Go to Kinstone in Fountain City

Stacy mentioned we should go to Kinstone and since it was on the bucket list, we decided to make it our reason for this year's Girls Weekend.

Kinstone is what I like to call Wisconsin's Stonehenge. It has various stone circles and other stone creations. It is located just outside of Fountain City in the middle of farmland and is open seasonally 10-6 daily. There is a $10/person admission.

Stacy and I both had similar expectations -- this is going to be really cool. Unless you are really into paganism and meditation, you are going to be like us. Huh? Why did they build this? Oh look a caterpillar.

The highlights

Big, tall Rocks which might explain the Rock in the House

A cute stone chapel. This honestly was my favorite.

Random cats

Lots of uneven, grassy paths

Stone Circles. Definitely not as cool as Stonehenge.

Hey look this one has a table

Short stones

Roadside tables in a field.. so are they field side tables?

Lots of wild flowers

There is a pamphlet that explains everything to you but I wasn't really interested in knowing anything about these creations. I did not get a picture of the labyrinth because someone was actually using it and I didn't want to be rude.

Now if you are into paganism, want to know more about it, find yourself, or are really into the hippy-dippy stuff, this is worth checking out. If not, you can skip this and go to the winery instead where you get a lot more for your $10.
