Normally when I plan a vacation, I figure out dining options before we go since the hubby doesn't like too many details left to chances. I figured there were plenty of places to eat in Gatlinburg that we would figure it out when we got there.
Once we got to our hotel, I asked the hubby what he was craving and he said steak. Being the frugal people we are, I went on a mission to find a steakhouse that didn't cost 3 arms and 2 legs for the two of us. We didn't need anything fancy. I found Cherokee Grill and Steakhouse which was about a 15 minute walk from our hotel.
Cherokee Grill and Steakhouse is near the Gatlinburg Tram off of the Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg. It is open 4-9:30 during the week and at noon on the weekends. We were able to get a table immediately. I'm sure during peak season, there will be a wait.
The menu is not large but includes sandwiches, steak, and fish. We both got the Prosperity Sirloin which came with a choice of a side. I went with the Neva's potatoes and the hubby stuck with a bake potato
Our steaks were amazing. They were tender and flavorful. Neva's potatoes were scallop potato casserole which was very good as well. It also came with fresh herbed bread which we ate 2 small loaves.
Dinner was a slight splurge but we were on vacation and it was worth it. If you are in Gatlinburg definitely check out Cherokee Grill and Steakhouse if you are in the mood for steak.
