One day at work, many years ago, when we all worked side by side and had plenty time between tasks, we discovered how deprived I was as a movie watcher. We utilized that time to create a list of must see movies. That listed morphed into a 19 page movie list. It also add several items to the bucket list over time.
Scrolling through Prime, I discovered the original Psycho Movie which is a Alfred Hitchcock movie. Even though I am not a huge fan of horror movies, I knew I had to see this one. It was on the movie and an Alfred Hitchcock movie was on the bucket list.
Here are my thoughts on the movie. Warning Spoilers
1. It was not as scary one may think. It's 1960 horror. It is actually pretty funny and silly. I loved the whole plot line. The paranoia with the stolen money and trying to find it again. It made for good viewing pleasure.
2. I was seriously disappointed by the shower scene. It was not as bloody and gruesome as I expected. The '60s special effects and black and white picture made it a hilarious to watch. I wanted more and it just a let down especially since the shower scene is the one of most famous scenes in the movie.
3. I may have to watch this every year Halloween. It is just a good classic horror movie that won't leave me afraid of the dark.
Now that I've seen Psycho, I may have find other Alfred Hitchcock movies to watch. It was a very good movie and would probably enjoy others. I guess I may have to update that movie list to include more Alfred Hitchcock movies if they aren't already on there.
And if you haven't seen Psycho, go watch it. If you don't like scary movies, just keep the lights on.
